BSB Round 2 – Oulton Park
Coming into the weekend, Oulton was still a very new track for me. I had done a couple of sessions on a track day in March, and some laps on the 2nd BSB test day earlier in April. I’ve never raced at this track before or ridden in the conditions we faced this weekend!We had a wet qualifying and I finished P34 with a 2:01.7 lap time, my first time riding Oulton in the wet!Race 1 was damp so we opted for an intermediate front tyre and slick rear. After entering turn 1 in second last I worked my way through the pack to finish P25, I was really happy with my performance this race and improved my PB to a 1:46.5 in mixed conditions.Race 2 was my first-ever wet race! Got up to P22 at one point but had a couple of moments with the rear as the track got greasy so I decided not to push on too hard and brought it home in P24 with a 1:53.4 best-wet lap time.A mega weekend all around. Coming to a track I have barely ridden, riding in new conditions, and topping my Silverstone result as a bonus.
